Zemic H8C Introduction

The Zemic H8C is a high‑accuracy shear beam load cell made from nickel‑plated alloy steel, designed for demanding industrial weighing applications. With its robust construction, IP67 ingress protection, and OIML R60 C3, C4, and C5 approvals, this loadcell delivers stable and precise measurement even under challenging environmental conditions. The H8C offers excellent reliability and long‑term repeatability, making it one of the most trusted zemic load cells for platform scales, container and tank weighing, bed weighing, and similar systems. Thanks to its optional force introduction designs (T‑hole or through‑hole versions) and current calibration (SC‑option), the H8C provides a universal solution adaptable to various compression‑based weighing setups.

Zemic H8C Installation

Accurate weighing performance begins with proper installation:

1- Mount the load cell on a rigid, vibration‑free structure using the correct fixation bolts and recommended torque values (e.g., M12: 100 Nm, M18: 200 Nm, M24: 700 Nm).
2- Ensure that the beam is oriented according to the load direction indicated in the datasheet to avoid measurement errors.
3- Use compatible mounting accessories such as foot assemblies or spacer plates to optimize load transfer and minimize side forces.
4- For multi‑cell systems, mount all cells in identical positions and heights to maintain load distribution balance.
5- Make sure environmental sealing is preserved during installation to maintain IP67 protection.

Loading

For best measurement results:

1- Apply the load vertically on the loading point in compression, following the mechanical load introduction method specified (standard, through‑hole, or T‑end).
2- Avoid uneven or excessive side loading; while the H8C shear beam design tolerates some misalignment, minimizing off‑center forces will extend service life and accuracy.
3- Do not exceed the safe overload limit of 150% FS or the ultimate limit of 300% FS.
4- For dynamic applications, ensure the load is applied gradually to protect the strain gauge element.
5- In shock‑load environments, consider optional elastomer mounts to absorb impacts.

The Zemic H8C is available in 4‑wire or 6‑wire configurations:

Cable type is shielded polyurethane, Ø5.0mm, with lengths from 4m to 6m depending on capacity. Shield is not connected to the loadcell element and should be grounded at the indicator.
