Celltec UN3 Introduction
The Celltec UN3 is a universal S-type tension load cell built for demanding industrial and laboratory applications. Crafted from alloy steel and finished with nickel plating, it offers high strength and durability even in hostile environments. With IP67 protection and a low-profile anti-explosion design, the UN3 is ideal for use in hybrid scales, material testing equipment, and environments where reliability is essential. Offered in a broad range of capacities from 25 kg up to 30 tons, the UN3 easily fits a variety of weighing and force measurement setups.
Installation
For best results and long-term stability, the UN3 load cell should be installed using standard S-type hardware, including eye bolts or rod ends suitable for your force range. Ensure the mounting surfaces are flat and that the load cell is oriented so force is always applied through the center line indicated on the body. The built-in design handles both tension and compression forces, but side loading should be avoided. Follow manufacturer torque recommendations for all threaded fasteners, and always check alignments during both initial installation and after maintenance.
Loading
The Celltec UN3 is engineered for precise measurement in both tension and compression. Load must be applied directly along its axis—off-axis or side loads may affect readings, even though the rugged alloy steel offers good mechanical tolerance. For platforms, hoppers, or suspended loads, the load cell delivers the greatest accuracy when load introduction hardware (eye bolts, clevises) is used and force is distributed evenly.
