Zemic BM6G Introduction

The Zemic BM6G single point load cell is a high‑accuracy stainless steel weighing sensor designed for use in platform scales, belt scales, and industrial weighing systems requiring stable and repeatable performance. Its hermetically sealed construction and IP68/IP69K protection provide excellent resistance to moisture, wash‑down conditions, and harsh industrial environments. The single‑point design allows accurate load measurement over the entire platform surface using only one load cell, making the BM6G an efficient solution for space‑limited installations and certified weighing applications.

Installation

The Zemic BM6G must be installed on a flat and rigid surface to ensure correct load transfer and long‑term accuracy. The applied load should be introduced vertically and centrally onto the load cell while avoiding side forces, torsional stress, and shock loading. The maximum platform size depends on the selected capacity, with smaller platforms used for lower capacities and larger platforms allowed for higher capacity versions as specified in the datasheet. Fixation bolts must be tightened according to the recommended torque values to prevent mechanical deformation. Proper mechanical installation is essential to achieve stable performance and minimize eccentric loading errors.

Loading

The Zemic BM6G is available in capacities from 10 kg to 500 kg and is approved in OIML accuracy classes C3, C4, and C5, depending on the selected model. The rated output sensitivity is 2.0 mV/V, providing a stable and repeatable signal for precision weighing systems. With a maximum number of verification intervals up to 5000 and low combined error, the BM6G is suitable for certified and high‑accuracy applications. The load cell offers a safe overload of 150 %FS and an ultimate overload of 300 %FS, ensuring reliable operation under demanding conditions. Its stainless steel construction and wide operating temperature range support long‑term stability in industrial environments.

Wiring

The Zemic BM6G single point load cell is supplied with a shielded industrial cable and supports both 6‑wire and 4‑wire wiring configurations, depending on the capacity version and the requirements of the weighing indicator.

6‑Wire Wiring

This configuration is standard for 10–100 kg (SE) versions and provides improved accuracy by compensating for cable resistance.

Red — Excitation (+)

Yellow — Sense (–)

Shield — Ground (connected at indicator side only)

4‑Wire Wiring

This configuration is standard for 100–500 kg versions and can also be used in simplified weighing systems or when Sense lines are not required.

White — Signal (+)

Green — Signal (–)

Shield — Ground (connected at indicator side only)

When connecting a 4‑wire BM6G to a 6‑wire indicator, the Sense (+) and Sense (–) terminals should be looped to the corresponding Excitation terminals at the indicator side.
