Zemic BM8G Introduction
The Zemic BM8G shear beam load cell is a robust stainless steel weighing sensor developed for industrial weighing applications requiring high accuracy, long‑term stability, and resistance to harsh environmental conditions. Its hermetically sealed construction with IP68 protection ensures reliable operation in wet, dusty, and wash‑down environments.
The shear beam design of this loadcell combined with a wide and stable mounting surface makes the BM8G particularly suitable for heavy‑duty floor scales, platform scales, and process weighing systems.
Installation
The Zemic BM8G should be mounted on a flat, rigid, and level surface to ensure accurate load transfer and stable performance. The applied force must be introduced vertically to the load cell while avoiding lateral forces and torsional stress. For multi‑load‑cell systems, symmetrical installation is recommended to achieve uniform load distribution across all load cells.
Fixation bolts must be tightened according to the specified torque values for the selected capacity. The BM8G is compatible with dedicated mounting and accessory kits that help improve alignment, protect against lift‑off, and allow controlled horizontal movement.
Loading
The BM8G is available in capacities from 500 kg up to 10 t and is approved to OIML R60 accuracy classes C3 and C4, depending on the selected model. The rated output sensitivity is 2.0 mV/V, providing a stable and repeatable signal for precision weighing indicators.
With a maximum number of verification intervals up to 4000, low combined error, and excellent repeatability, the BM8G is suitable for both industrial and trade‑approved weighing systems. The load cell offers a safe overload of 150 %FS and an ultimate overload of 300 %FS, ensuring durability under demanding load conditions. Its stainless steel construction and wide operating temperature range support reliable performance in challenging industrial environments.

Wiring
The Zemic BM8G shear beam load cell is supplied with a shielded industrial cable and uses a standard 4‑wire wiring configuration. The cable shield is not connected to the load cell element and should be grounded at the indicator side only.
