Zemic BM6A Introduction

The Zemic BM6A is a compact stainless‑steel single‑point load cell designed for high‑accuracy weighing in low‑ to medium‑capacity applications. This precision loadcell is manufactured with a slim profile and excellent eccentric load compensation, allowing stable measurement even when the load is not perfectly centered. With hermetic IP68 sealing and OIML R60 C3 approval, the BM6A is widely used among modern load cells in industrial and commercial weighing systems. Its robust construction and easy integration make the zemic BM6A a reliable and universal solution for precision compression weighing in demanding environments.

Installation

Correct installation is essential to ensure accuracy and long service life:

1- Mount the load cell on a flat, rigid, and vibration‑free surface.
2- Ensure that the platform is mechanically stable and designed according to single‑point load cell guidelines.
3- Fix the loadcell using the recommended mounting holes and torque values specified in the datasheet.
4- Avoid contact between the weighing platform and surrounding structures.
5- In platform applications, ensure the platform dimensions do not exceed the maximum recommended size for the BM6A.

Loading

For optimal measurement performance:

1- Apply the load vertically in compression only.
2- Although the BM6A compensates for eccentric loads, excessive off‑center or side forces should be avoided.
3- Prevent shock loading and sudden impacts to protect the internal strain gauge structure.
4- Gradually apply load during initial commissioning.
5- Perform zero adjustment and calibration after the system is fully assembled.

Wiring

The Zemic BM6A uses a shielded industrial cable with a standard 4‑wire connection:

Green — Signal (+)

The polyurethane cable jacket provides excellent resistance to moisture and industrial interference. The shield is not connected to the load cell body and should be grounded at the indicator side only.
