Zemic BM24R Introduction
The Zemic BM24R is a high‑accuracy stainless‑steel compression load cell designed for demanding industrial weighing systems. Featuring a compact and low‑profile design, this advanced loadcell is available in OIML R60 accuracy classes from C3 up to C6, making it suitable for both standard and legal‑for‑trade applications. With hermetic IP68 sealing and excellent long‑term stability, the BM24R is widely used among professional load cells for reliable force measurement under compressive loads. Thanks to its robust construction and broad capacity range, it is often selected as a universal solution for precision compression weighing systems in harsh industrial environments.
Installation
Proper installation is critical to guarantee accuracy and mechanical protection:
1- Mount the load cell on a rigid, flat, and well‑aligned foundation.
2- Use approved mounting accessories such as rocker pins or self‑aligning feet to ensure proper load centering.
3- Ensure the load is introduced centrally to avoid side loading or bending moments.
4- Follow the tightening torque values specified in the Zemic datasheet to prevent housing deformation.
5- In multi‑cell systems, install all load cells at equal height to ensure uniform load distribution.
Loading
For optimal and repeatable measurement performance:
1- Apply force vertically in compression only, aligned with the center axis of the load cell.
2- Avoid shock loads, dynamic impacts, and lateral forces, even though the BM24R supports high safe and ultimate overload limits.
3- Ensure gradual loading during commissioning to allow the mechanical structure to settle correctly.
4- Perform zero setting and full calibration once the system is fully installed and stabilized.
5- Continuous operation within the rated capacity range ensures long‑term stability of the loadcell signal.
