Zemic B3G Introduction

The Zemic B3G is a stainless‑steel universal load cell designed for accurate tension and compression measurements. Installation

Proper installation directly affects the accuracy and lifetime of the loadcell:

1- Mount the load cell in a perfectly vertical line with the applied force to avoid bending or side loads.
2- Use the correct metric threads according to the rated capacity (M8 to M30) and apply the recommended torque to avoid mechanical distortion.
3- Ensure both the upper and lower mounting points are aligned. Misalignment can introduce unwanted stresses that degrade long‑term repeatability.
4- Allow slight mechanical freedom so the sensor body can deflect naturally; avoid overly rigid or welded connections.

If used outdoors or in high‑moisture areas, route the cable downward to reduce the risk of water ingress despite the IP67 rating.

Loading

To achieve optimal performance:

1- Apply force directly along the centerline of the Zemic B3G loadcell.
2- For tension applications, use compatible accessories such as eye bolts or rod ends to keep the load path straight.
3- For compression, ensure flat, stable contact surfaces aligned with the sensor’s geometry.
4- Avoid lateral loads, twisting forces, or impact shocks, even though the load cell supports 150% safe overload and 300% ultimate overload.
5- After installation, let the sensor settle, then perform zeroing and calibration for the most accurate readings.

The B3G uses a standard 4‑wire shielded cable:

The polyurethane-jacketed cable is industrial‑grade and shielded for noise protection. For best performance, ground the shield at the instrumentation end only.
