Celltec US5 Introduction
The Celltec US5 is a premium universal S-type load cell engineered for highly demanding environments. Installation
Due to its low-profile S-type design, the US5 requires precise mechanical integration. The load cell should be installed using approved mounting accessories, such as eye bolts or rod ends, ensuring that the force is perfectly aligned along the central axis of the cell body. When installing in multi-cell systems (like in hybrid scales or hopper weighing), mechanical accessories must allow for minor thermal expansion and structural movement while preventing rotation or side-loading, which is crucial for maintaining the IP67 seal integrity and measurement accuracy.
Loading
The inherent design of the US5 as an S-type tension and compression load cell makes it suitable for bidirectional force application. Accuracy is highest when the force is introduced directly through the threaded holes (E and D dimensions) and centered. In materials testing or crane scale applications, ensure the load is static or changes smoothly to avoid dynamic shock loading. The stainless steel body provides robustness, but exceeding the maximum safe load limit should always be avoided.
