Zemic B8Q Introduction

The Zemic B8Q is a compact stainless‑steel shear beam load cell designed for high‑accuracy static and dynamic weighing applications. With its low‑profile design and IP67 protection, this loadcell is ideal for environments where space is limited but measurement reliability is critical. Certified to OIML R60 C3 and widely trusted in industrial weighing systems, the B8Q delivers stable performance over long periods. Installation

Correct installation of the B8Q load cell ensures accuracy and long service life:

1- Mount the load cell on a flat, rigid surface to prevent twisting or uneven force transmission.
2- Use the recommended mounting hardware and apply the specified tightening torque (M12: 75 Nm) to avoid mechanical stress.
3- Ensure the load introduction point is properly centered above the sensing area to minimize side loads.
4- If the W6 version (T‑end loading hole) is used, make sure the loading pin is correctly aligned to maintain shear‑beam behavior.
5-The mounting surface and load plate must be parallel to ensure even force distribution across the loadcell body.

Loading

For optimal weighing performance:

1- Apply the load vertically and evenly onto the load cell to maintain pure shear force conditions.
2- Avoid tension forces, impact loading, or sudden shock loads, even though the B8Q offers 150% safe overload and 300% ultimate overload protection.
3- Use load buttons or mounting feet accessories to improve force centering and reduce the effect of side loading.
4- After mechanical installation, allow the system to stabilize before performing zero adjustment and calibration.
5- In multi‑cell platforms, ensure all load cells share the load evenly to avoid measurement drift.

Wiring

The Zemic B8Q uses a standard 4‑wire shielded cable configuration:

      • Red — Input (+)
      • Black — Input (–)
      • Green — Output (+)
      • White — Output (–)

The polyurethane‑jacketed cable is shielded for noise immunity in industrial environments. For best signal stability, the shield should be grounded at the indicator or junction box end only.
