Installation
Correct installation is essential to ensure accuracy and service life at high loads:
1- Install the load cell on a solid, level steel or concrete foundation capable of supporting the full rated capacity.
2- Use proper mounting accessories, such as rocker or self‑aligning supports, to compensate for minor misalignments and prevent side loading.
3- Ensure that the upper load introduction plate is flat, centered, and parallel to the sensor surface.
4- Apply mounting procedures exactly as shown in the datasheet to protect the loadcell from bending and torsional stresses.
5- Incorporate mechanical limiters and lift‑off protection when the BM14G is used in weighbridges, tanks, or silo systems.
Loading
For consistent performance and long‑term reliability:
1- Apply the load vertically in compression, aligned with the center axis of the load cell.
2- Avoid off‑center loading, lateral forces, and dynamic impacts, even though the sensor supports 150% safe overload and 300% ultimate overload.
3- Do not apply pulling forces; the BM14G is not designed for tension applications.
4- During initial commissioning, increase the load gradually to allow the mechanical structure to settle.
5- Perform zero calibration and full system calibration once the load structure is fully installed and stabilized.
